The WHA has set up 4 video consultation clinics in partnership with Rehabilitation Services at Camden and Campbelltown Hospitals, and Macarthur Cancer Therapy Centre. This can help our Wollondilly residents to access specialist services outside of the Shire via video consultation. Video consultation uses video cameras and monitors to connect to specialists out of area, meaning the patient will be able to see, hear and talk to a doctor or other health care professional.
Video consultation is not designed to replace face-to-face appointments, but is a great option is getting to a specialist is not essential.
Video consultation clinics in Wollondilly:
- Picton Family Medical Practice
- Tahmoor Medical Centre
- The Clinic at Tahmoor
- Warragamba Medical Centre

The telemonitoring project is a way of providing health services to people with chronic conditions, helping them stay out of hospital. This is done by working with the patient in their home and with their GP, using electronic monitoring tools.
These tools allow people to perform routine tests and send the data to a healthcare professional in real-time. Some examples of these mobile medical devices are blood pressure monitors for people with a cardiac condition.
